Sophisticated Design – And Technology

The graceful lines create a very favourable impression. But to fully appreciate the level of sophistication offered by the 2009 Buick Lucerne, you have to drive one. Only then will you experience what its leading-edge technology can do for you. If you’re looking to intensify your driving experience even further, the most dramatic starting point is Lucerne Super, powered by the 292 hp High Output 4.6L Northstar V8 and featuring the advanced Magnetic Ride Control ® suspension. Advanced technology extends to the safety package that includes available side blind zone alert and lane departure warning systems. A smart luxury sedan: the 2009 Buick Lucerne.A Super Experience
Introducing the Lucerne Super – the pinnacle of all things Buick. Refined power and control are taken to the next level with a 292 hp Northstar 4.6L V8 engine and advanced Magnetic Ride Control Suspension technology. Inside, Lucerne’s commitment to exquisite craftsmanship and luxury is also heightened with a list of features that include standard heated and cooled front seats, a heated walnut wood accented steering wheel and a nine-speaker Harman Kardon ® amplified sound system.

It’s All A Matter Of Timing
The time is right for the 227 hp 3.9L V6 VVT engine. VVT stands for variable valve timing which helps maximize power and torque by continuously adjusting the opening and closing of the engine’s valves. This FlexFuel engine is standard on CX and CXL – and it can run on gasoline or E85 ethanol, reducing emissions and dependence on petroleum.

It Sees Where You Can’t
Blind spots are an inevitable part of driving – at least they used to be. Lucerne’s available side blind zone alert employs radar technology to scan a 150° arc on both sides of the vehicle. In addition, the available lane departure warning system uses a camera to detect if you are drifting out of your lane, and then alerts you through audio and visual warnings.

It’s Called The Driver Confidence Package For Good Reason
Lucerne has enhanced driver control with the StabiliTrakTM electronic stability control system. Plus the added safety and convenience of RainsenseTM moisture-sensing wipers, remote vehicle start system, content theft alarm and ultrasonic rear parking assist. All these features are included in the Driver Confidence Package. The name speaks for itself.
